    MONROY Bridle Buckles ams​
    Here is a stunning set of 3 Rare vintage STERLING hand engraved MONROY #186 bridle buckles. Very detailed and hand engraved pattern as pictured. These would work well for Bosal hanger, or a throat latch strap, or chaps. Approximately weight is 32.6 grams. They are MARKED STERLING. They have an outside measurement of approximately 1 1/8 x 1 1/2" and will take a strap up to "5/8" width. The buckles are Marked "MONROY Sterling Mexico.
    The silver artist is MMS MONROY- this mark dates these buckles to the mid 1950s-1960's era. Monroy was a very skilled and talented jewelry artisan, and was said to have owned a retail jewelry business with several stores and shops located near the Mexican Riviera, including Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, and Mazatlan,, in addition to making high quality jewelry, he also created some stunning ornamental silver accessories for equestrian saddles and tack.
