Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland (PZH Gouda) Evian 15" Candlestick, Shape 962
Very large, impressive candlestick from Gouda, Holland. The hand painted Evian design features flowers and leaves in bright greens, blues and oranges on a cream background, with black at the base and the top. Mark indicates manufacture in 1922. Beautiful and hard to find.
Condition:  No chips, cracks or repairs. A couple factory of burst glaze bubbles. Overall very fine crazing. Shiny spot where top is joined to collar is not a repair, but appears to be a glaze flaw - acetone tested.
Marks:  Hand painted 962, Evian, little house mark, Gouda Holland, artist and date marks; incised T.
Dimensions:  15" high, 7 7/8" wide at base, approximately 1" opening for candle.
