Shoemaker Style U. S. Army Horse Bit--it looks like old iron to me (you decide) and I was told it had been cleaned and all the rust removed--4-3/4 in. wide mouth--8 in. long--looks to be an RIA on cheek which is a double or blurrred looking mark--thanks for looking
