This is a wonderful
Netherlands
earthenware, magnificent plate by the renowned Dutch pottery Gouda Holland c.1918, decorated in the typical semi-matte glaze and relatively abstract floral pattern with lovely hand painted colors. The magnificent and highly decorative plate is fully marked with pottery marks underneath, “1165/25 – Rhodian – Holland” among other painted and incised marks for model number and artist initials. IN TOP CONDITION.
Measures 26,5 cm diameter.

Inspired in the style of Henri Leonardus August Breetvelt (Delft, 1864 – Gouda, 1923) was one of the most important designers and artists at Zuid-Holland. He also worked at Porceleinfabriek De Kroon in Noordwijk. Henri died in 1923 but even after his death Zuid-Holland continued using his designs, giving them the name "Decor Breetvelt.
