Description

*No reserve auction. Clean title for this car in my name.  No paypal!!
The car will sell for whatever it bids to at the end of the auction.  Bidders with zero or little feedback should contact me before placing a bid.  Please ask questions during the auction.  The car will not leave my possession until it is paid for.  It can be stored here at no charge for a few weeks if needed.
I have a 1957 Chevrolet 210 Series Townsman 4 door station wagon for sale with a clean title for it in my name.  It will also come with its original dealers invoice from when it was sold in Alabama on October 2nd 1957.  It has an early 265 or 283 power pack V8 engine with a Rochester 4 jet carburetor.  It has a three speed manual transmission with the factory shifter on the column.
This wagon has typical flaws and rust here and there.  The windshield as well as some side glass is cracked. The door panels, seat covers are torn and falling apart.  I replaced the steering column as the original would no longer shift properly.  I did not put the turn signal switch back in it but it comes with the car.  The headlights, parking lights and brake lights work. This will be fine for a Hot Rod or rat rod project. The floor pans, spare tire well and rockers etc have been repaired in the past with sheet metal patches.
If someone is planning a proper restoration then these patches will need to be removed and repaired with reproduction metal patch panels.
The car starts, runs, shifts and stops.  The clutch linkage tries to bind up sometimes.  This will need attention at some point. This is fine for driving around the block.  It will need a good tune up before going on a long drive.  The carburetor may need a rebuild kit because sometimes it is hard to start.  I usually pour a drop of gas into the carb and it will fire right up and idle.  The car has a modern (1) wire GM alternator which charges well.  The wagon gas tank was removed, flushed and a sealer/liner was added inside the tank.
Some of the lower portion of the inner or door bottoms have typical rust.  The lower or inner rocker panels have typical rust as well.  The passenger side front bumper end as well as one of the front bumper bullets has rusted out.  I am including in the sale a replacement front bumper bumper end and bumper bullet. I am also including a spare wagon lower tailgate and a spare set of sedan doors in the sale.
***Note, the pictured Weld aluminum Draglite wheels and tires do not go with the car.  I will install a set of Chevrolet 2000 S10 15" aluminum wheels with tires on the car before the end of the auction.
Buyer will make payment within 5 working days.  Vehicle will not leave my possession until fully paid for. No Paypal, Shipping will be arranged by buyer.  I will be available to assist loading.
Recap:  No reserve auction on a cool old 57 Chevy wagon.  It will be a nice hotrod or rat rod.  It will need a lot of work if performing a correct restoration, otherwise tune it up and drive the wheels off of it.
Please ask questions on the old format which Ebay has used the last 20 plus years. I do not use the new phone "APP".
Thanks for your time
