    Description

    1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210.
The 1955 chevy limo build began in 2004 from a project car(not completed) from Texas I bought off E Bay.
The engine was rebuilt as well as the transmission.
The car also has front power disc brakes and rear drum brakes.
The frame was extended by a professional frame shop and they also put in the two piece drive shaft. I then took it to a local machine shop where they balanced both shafts.
The car has had the same tires on it that I bought after the car was put on the road. There is no uneven wear and alignment was completed by another local shop that specializes in trucks.
The body has no cracks in paint and other than minor garage scrapes and dings in the paint, still looks good.
The car has no rust and was always indoor stored then not in use.
The extension was performed by grafting doors from a
two-door for the sides and a station wagon roof for the top.
I also put a brace between the front pillar and the rear pillar for extra support.
It has a modern fuse panel, Rain Gear windshield wipers and vintage Air Gen VI heat and air conditioning.
The engine has had several attempts at pulley systems till I finally finally went with March Performance serpentine system.
I put Ridetech air ride shocks in the back to handle the rear suspension when 6 people are in the back. I also put station wagon leaf springs in the back. When I was carrying groups of people I put 10 to 20 pounds extra in the air shocks. The car always rode level. I also put heavier coil springs in the front.
The car was exhibited locally at the prestigious Saratoga Automobile Museum and also in the local magazine “Horsepower.”
The car was used for Weddings and Prom for local car enthusiast for several years.
