HIGHLIGHTS: Funky cool classic Chevrolet 210 "Tin Woody" wagon! Perfect cruiser with that desirable beach vibe! Talk about a head turner!
BODY OVERVIEW: For the age of the vehicle, the body is in surprisingly good shape. Make no mistakes, this beach cruiser wagon is not a trailer queen show car-but it was never supposed to be one! The patina, dings, and other defects are all part of the intentional weathered look. Underneath, there are patch repairs that appear to have been performed long ago as well as areas that have been modified to mate the 210 body to what appears to be an S10 pickup truck chassis. The exterior chrome trim has a nice shine still, but there are mismatched pieces here and there. Overall, the body is in great "driver" condition, where you don't have to worry about door dings or someone sitting on the hood.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The paint appears to be an older repaint, likely performed 20+ years ago. Overall, the paint is in fair condition, and has an attractive gloss to it despite the unique weathered look. There are scratches and chips throughout, as can be expected on a vehicle like this with that old of a paint job. Much like the body, the paint is in good "driver" condition. Plus, you just can't beat that weathered look for a cool beach-y vehicle like this!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The beach vibes continue to the interior, with a wood slat headliner, simulated wood grain dashboard, and a palm tree mural on the back of the back seat. The interior is custom, just like the rest of the car, and was done "nice enough" to match. The seat material, carpet, and door panels are in serviceable condition, but not so nice that you'd feel bad tracking in sand from the beach.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is a small block Chevrolet V8, which runs quite well despite the engine's outwards weathered appearance. The engine is hooked up to a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, which is equipped with a reverse valve body and a shift kit of some kind. This puppy will chirp the tires on the 1-2 shift! Sitting on what appears to be S10 pickup chassis and running gear, this 210 wagon handles surprisingly well for a vehicle this size. The more modern chassis really makes this car more drivable, and the engine/transmission combo does too! Imagine trying to take this thing to the beach with a straight six engine and a three-on-the-tree!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you're in the right mindset, there's so much to love! From the uniqueness of the car itself, to the uncommon styling choices, to that classic beach theme, there are many fun points to choose from.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you want a car that is show-ready with no defects, this is not the car for you. Such as any home-built hot rod like this, this 210 Wagon has its fair share of casual mechanical issues. If you don't like wrenching on your classic, this is probably not a good fit.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? It doesn't "need" anything urgently. It can be driven and enjoyed as is. That said, there are a few non-functional items as noted at the bottom of this ad.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Whether you're looking for a cool car to advertise for your business, or simply something super unique to turn heads on beach weekends, this 210 could be a great option!
